firstly, you have to know that the model you are talking about is a small business notebook.
It has won awards for being economical. But, due to its limited specifications, it cannot be upgraded to the standards you want it to be as running windows XP smoothly in it because it is designed to work best with windows 98 or 95.
For your information, it supports a maximum of 192 MB RAM so you cant replace it for a 256 or higher MB.

was happy to see your comment:-)

I recently received an old Toshiba Satellite 2100CDT as a special gift of great sentimental value. It has Windows XP but is maxed out at 192 Mb of RAM. (A 64 Mb chip factory soldered, and a 128 Mb chip in the only open slot) which is really not enough to run XP very well since it should have 256 Mb minimum.
Can that 64 Mb chip be replaced by a 256 Mb, or a 512? And if so, what would it take to do it?
Or would a PCMI card or two be able to bring the memory up enough to run decent?

How fast of a processor can I upgrade the AMD-K6®-2 processor at 400MHz to?
Or if overclocking, what can I expect to bump it up to?
